The Duo is an entirely new kind of iPhone, so it comes with a bit of a learning curve. That’s a wild thing to imagine, since the iPhone has had very few fundamental changes since its inception. But the Duo is built different.
Apple Music has an easter egg on the web: a fully-functional iPod that appears when you load a page that does not exist, such as music.apple.com/macrumors. The easter egg is only visible in a web browser, so you will not be able to see it in the Apple Music app.
As expected, the iPhone Duo greets you personally if you purchase it from an Apple Store in the United States. MacRumors contributor Aaron Perris had an in-store pickup reservation for an iPhone Duo at Apple Fifth Avenue in New York today, and the device showed “Hello Aaron” when he turned it on.
Apple’s first foldable iPhone, the iPhone Duo, officially launched today, Friday October 23. Pre-order deliveries are arriving to customers, but supply is extremely tight, although anyone who didn’t order in advance may still be able to buy one in person, depending on local availability.
Apple increased its share of worldwide PC shipments in the third quarter of 2026, with Counterpoint Research crediting the MacBook Neo for some of the company’s resilience during a market downturn.
