“It’s a brave new world”: GTA 6’s PC port will release sooner than you think to avoid losing money to AI rip-offs, says former Rockstar tech director

GTA 6’s PC release may come sooner than anticipated, according to former Rockstar North technical director Obbe Vermeij, because Rockstar and publishers Take-Two will be concerned about losing money to unofficial generative AI clones of the PS5 version, once it launches on 19th November.

Yesterday, Nier: Automata received a new patch on Steam, adding more language support to the title - it can now be played with Korean, Simplified Chinese, and Traditional Chinese options - but this new update also, somehow, inflated the file size of the game on PC from about 50GB to 366GB. D’oh!
