Google is “starting to get onto that RSI treadmill”, cofounder Sergey Brin said in a roundtable on Gemini 4 Argon, Business Insider reported. Google shared the video on Wednesday. Brin pointed to the Flash models Google released before Gemini 4 as evidence.
Anthropic president Daniela Amodei has warned that AI romantic partners risk driving people further apart, Business Insider reported. She spoke in a prerecorded interview with Arianna Huffington, founder and chief executive of Thrive Global.
Meta has rewritten new terms that would have let it crawl and train its AI on the websites of businesses that use its ads and tools. Critics say the change does not go far enough. The company changed the terms late on Friday after complaints from business customers and the media, Gizmodo reported.

Robots and AI models together could take on about 80% of the work Americans do, Anthropic says. But robots are cheaper than people for just 0.3% of tasks today. The findings come from Anthropic’s new robotics study, which Business Insider picked up this week.

TSMC made a record net profit of NT$763.1bn ($23.59bn) in the third quarter, up 69% on a year earlier. That beat the NT$746.3bn LSEG SmartEstimate, Reuters reported. Revenue rose 51% to NT$1.49tn, or 41.2% to $46.72bn in US dollar terms, according to TSMC’s results. Its operating margin was 58.7%.
The US Federal Trade Commission has sent civil investigative demands to Anthropic and OpenAI, seeking documents about the safety incidents involving their AI models. The demands went out on Wednesday, Axios first reported, citing a person familiar with the matter.
Netflix has named Peter Rice, the former chairman of Walt Disney Television, as its chief content officer. The company announced the move on Thursday. Rice will run its global content organisation, from scripted and unscripted series to film and live events.
