SK Hynix reported record third-quarter results on Wednesday, 28 October. Operating profit rose 632% from a year earlier to 83.3 trillion won (about $62bn). Revenue rose 328% to 104.6 trillion won, it said in its earnings release.
Robotics AI startup Physical Intelligence is in talks to raise money at a valuation of about $20bn. It builds AI software that lets robots handle real-world tasks. Rebecca Torrence and Natasha Mascarenhas reported the talks for Bloomberg on Tuesday, citing people familiar with the matter.
Machenta, a London robotics startup spun out of Imperial College London, has raised a $40M seed round. It is building an AI model that teaches robots a new task from a single demonstration. Creandum and Union Square Ventures co-led the round, Imperial said on 27 October.
